On August 9, the new Derecho supercomputer officially opened to NCAR’s broader HPC user community. While Cheyenne will remain in service through December 31, all current NCAR HPC users are encouraged to migrate their workflows from Cheyenne to Derecho now rather than later. CISL is now accepting allocation requests from university-based researchers for the new Derecho system and the Casper data analysis and visualization cluster. Those requests are due September 12.
