On Wednesday, June 17, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm MT, join the Atmospheric Chemistry Observations & Modeling (ACOM) laboratory for an Explorer Series lecture. The talk is entitled "
Solving Air Chemistry Puzzles From The Sky."
The presentation will highlight cutting-edge airborne instruments, satellite observations, and atmospheric models used to inform policies that protect the air we breathe. The speakers, Alessandro Franchin, Teresa Campos, and Eric Apel, will share recent insights from airborne field projects. Dr. Apel, head of the Experimental Science Section at ACOM, and the team will discuss how flying research laboratories directly through smoke plumes and urban smog helps piece together air quality puzzles.
