Apply by Sun. 3/22 for travel support for the 2026 Pythia Cook-off

NSF NCAR’s Computational and Information Systems Lab (CISL) will host the 2026 Pythia Cook-off from Monday, June 15 to Thursday, June 18. Project Pythia is a geoscience educational resource. This hackathon will focus on developing Pythia Cookbooks to support open-source geoscientific Python resources, enhancing programming and collaboration skills for students, researchers, and developers.

The hackathon takes place in-person at the NSF NCAR Mesa Lab in Boulder, CO. General registration is due by Friday, May 22.

Apply by Sunday, March 22 for travel support! For event logistics, visit the Travel Information page. NSF-provided travel support is available to a limited number of students and postdoctoral researchers traveling from within the U.S. To be considered, please select “Yes” to the travel support question while registering, then answer the questions that follow.
