Join a seminar about the Navy's ionospheric/thermospheric data assimilation

On Tuesday, September 9, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm MT, join the High Altitude Observatory (HAO) at NSF NCAR for a seminar on the Navy's data assimilation (DA) systems for the ionosphere and thermosphere. The talk is entitled "Overview of Navy’s Ionospheric/Thermospheric DA."

Dr. David Kuhl, a scientist at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), will discuss the development of the PyIRI-JEDI and NRLSAMI-JEDI ionospheric data assimilation systems, as well as the NEPTUNE-HA with JEDI-LETKF thermospheric data assimilation system. Dr. Kuhl will also focus on the future coupled thermospheric-ionospheric DA system.

This is a hybrid seminar: guests can attend in-person at CG1-3131 on the Center Green Campus, or join the meeting virtually.
