Join an in-person event at Bambei Brewing in Colorado: “Preparing our national parks for the impacts of extreme weather events”

On Tuesday, August 12, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm MT, join the NSF NCAR Explorers team for a talk in collaboration with the Bambei Brewing Science Talk Series. The talk, entitled "Preparing our national parks for the impacts of extreme weather events,” is led by NSF NCAR scientist Kyle Nardi.

National parks are a source of pride and livelihood for local communities, but extreme weather events, such as floods and blizzards, are a serious threat. Dr. Nardi will discuss how his research informs hazard preparedness for public lands and communities along the Front Range, focusing on the November 2006 floods in Glacier National Park, Montana.

This free public event is being held in person at Bambei Brewing at 100 Superior Plaza Way, Suite 102, Superior, CO 80027. The talk is recommended for ages 12 and up. No registration is required.
