The 2025 WarmWorld-ESiWACE3 Summer School will be held in Lauenburg near Hamburg, Germany, and is hosting the
2025 hpc4climate Summer School from Monday, July 28 to Thursday, August 7th. The program invites Master’s students and early PhD students in Computer Science, Data Science, Techno-mathematics, Applied mathematics, Meteorology, and Climate Science with programming skills and an interest in Scientific Computing to participate.
The hpc4climate Summer School will give an insight into the
ICON (Icosahedral Nonhydrostatic) model, a partnership open source model supported across German and Swiss institutions, and is one of the state-of-the-art weather and climate science models.

hpc4climate2025.org. Applicants will need to upload the following documents: motivation letter, CV, and support letter from a supervisor.
The sponsors of the Summer School will offer up to five grants of up to 500 EUR to partially cover the travel expenses while other major costs, including lodging and meals, are covered for all accepted applicants. If you want to apply for a travel grant, you will need to motivate your request during the registration process. The deadline for travel grant applications is Thursday, April 15, and general registration deadline is Wednesday, April 30.
