Will you be joining NSF NCAR at the Supercomputing conference?

The Supercomputing 2024 Conference (SC24) is almost here: Nov. 17–22 in Atlanta! NSF NCAR and CISL have assembled a great agenda, with a full slate of activities both at our booth and in the technical program. Read on to find out if joining NSF NCAR at SC24 might help you advance your career and studies.

 Some planned highlights: 
  • Collaborate and Connect Reception: Meet CISL director Thomas Hauser and other members of the CISL team on Tuesday afternoon at the NSF NCAR booth. Food and drinks will be served. This is a great opportunity to make professional connections, discuss science and tech, and discover our plans for the upcoming year. 
  • Ask an Expert: Our booth is fully staffed Tuesday through Thursday with CISL staff experts who are happy to chat with you and answer your questions.
  • Booth Presentations: Topics include: CROCODILE, clouds, and data assimilation; the Chameleon project for large-scale edge to cloud research; DART for ensemble data assimilation; and more.
  • Technical Program: Attend SC24 sessions involving NSF NCAR staff—including work selected as finalist for the ACM Gordon Bell Prize in Climate Modelling.
  • Something for Everyone: Our Family Day activities will offer fun for all ages and snacks in the afternoon. We will participate in the Job Fair, and also present student and internship opportunities. Multiple raffles will be held everyday after every booth presentation.
