This Saturday, be dazzled by a free kids’ show: “Science is magic (but better!)”

September 13, 2024

On Saturday, September 21, from 10:00 to 11:30 am MDT at NSF NCAR’s Mesa Lab in Boulder, CO, families can enjoy a live event for kids (recommended for ages 8-plus). Kids will see and hear the world differently after participating in this event!
In the show “Science is magic (but better!)”, host Jo Hecker asks: What is the difference between magic and science? Why does our recorded voice sound so strange? How do you create the oldest substance in the world with a pencil sharpener (and make it explode)? How can you see through objects?

Jo Hecker, an electrical engineer who is also the author of kids’ books and the host of kids’ TV shows, travels around the world to present his popular science shows. Jo says: “I don’t like science. I love science!”

Register here for free. This event is part of the NSF NCAR Explorer Series; if you have questions, contact the team.
