This weekend, amble to inspiration with the Science Stride 5K—in-person or virtual

The Friends of the National Center Science Stride 5K will kick off its first run/walk this weekend on Saturday, September 14, at the Boulder Reservoir in Colorado. The race will start at 1:00 pm MT. Runners and walkers of all abilities are encouraged to join.

Those seeking to join remotely can sign up for a Virtual 5K to run or walk a 5K between now and September 14 and log their time. Remote participants can even join a team and receive a race t-shirt, just like in-person participants!

The Science Stride 5k brings the community together to inspire, support, and educate the next generation of scientists and to support STEM education. The Friends are committed to ensuring that the research at UCAR and NSF NCAR carries forward into the future.
