Together with NVIDIA and the OpenACC organization, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research (NSF NCAR), and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) will host a virtual
Open AI for Science Bootcamp starting February 6 and concluding February 7, 2024.
The AI for Science Bootcamp provides a step-by-step overview of the fundamentals of deep neural networks. This online bootcamp is a hands-on learning experience where you will be guided through step-by-step instructions with teaching assistants on hand to help throughout. Attendees will build and improve deep learning models for applications related to scientific computing and physical systems defined by differential equations. The
open source materials will also cover more advanced topics such as physics-informed neural networks (PINNs), operator learning, and tools such as
NVIDIA Modulus. Participants should have the following prerequisites:
- Basic experience with Python and some awareness of PyTorch.
- Basic knowledge of neural networks is recommended but not required.
- No GPU programming experience is required.
Students through established researchers as well as research software engineers are invited to
apply here. Deadline for applications are January 22, 2024 and the capacity for the event is limited.
