Cheyenne Countdown: Change is good. Switch to Derecho.

As the old song has it, “I could use a little fuel myself, and we could all use a little change.”

As New Year’s approaches, it’s time to make an important change. Cheyenne will be retired on December 31, 2023, replaced by our powerful new supercomputer Derecho.

That means no putting it off anymore—it’s time to switch to Derecho. CISL cannot provide anyone with special priority to complete last-minute work on Cheyenne. However, requests for additional core-hours on Derecho to make the transition will be considered.

For help, contact the Consulting Services Group (CSG) at the User Support page in the ARC portal, or schedule a virtual or in-person consultation with a staff member.
