Default module updates completed April 11

The default module updates for software programs and libraries that were announced last month were implemented on Monday, April 11. The most notable change was for the MPT MPI library on Cheyenne, where the default is now version 2.25. The new version contains many backend improvements and users should migrate to mpt/2.25 for distributed workflows as soon as possible. The full list of new default module versions is:

  • nvhpc/22.2
  • arm-forge/21.1.1
  • cdo/2.0.1
  • matlab/R2022a
  • nco/5.0.3
  • R/4.1.2

Please contact the NCAR Research Computing help desk if you encounter any issues when using these software versions. Older versions remain accessible via the modules system.
