The CISL user documentation page
Using conda environments for Python access now includes a new section describing how to produce a custom environment from a YAML file. The process described allows conda or Mamba to resolve all package requirements at the same time, which can produce more coherent environments and avoid situations in which the dependency resolver fails to find a solution. Using a YAML file will also provide a hard copy of environment specifications that you can share with colleagues or version track with software like Git.
Reminder: CISL documentation for HPC users is now on the
NCAR Advanced Research Computing portal, along with system status reports, the Daily Bulletin, a new allocations interface, and other information.
