The deadline for submitting university Accelerated Scientific Discovery (ASD) proposals for projects to run on Derecho has been extended to September 10. Derecho will become operational in the first half of 2022. See the
ASD submission instructions for details.
The ASD program is a unique opportunity for a small group of large-scale computational projects to have nearly exclusive use of the Derecho system for a few months. ASD teams will work closely with NCAR’s high-performance computing staff to optimize their workflows, ensure that the environment is properly configured for maximum efficiency, and demonstrate the capabilities of the new 19.87-petaflops system.
