Attending the AMS Annual Meeting? Don’t miss the NSF NCAR Town Hall: “Advanced Computing, Data Services, Software, and Educational Resources for Earth System Science” on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 12:15 to 1:15 pm CT.

Hosted by the Computational and Information Systems Laboratory (CISL), this on-site session is your chance to get a first look at the future of our infrastructure. We will be diving into:

  • The New AI/ML Roadmap: Our strategy for integrating artificial intelligence into Earth System Science.
  • Infrastructure Updates: The latest on the Geoscience Data Exchange (GDEX) and current allocation processes.
  • Innovation Pilots: Deep dives into the CREDIT (Community Research Earth Digital Intelligence Twin) pilot and our AI Factory Proof of Concept (PoC).

Location: the George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, TX. Make sure you are registered for AMS26 to attend.

This is more than a presentation—it’s an opportunity to provide direct feedback and help shape resources. NSF NCAR looks forward to welcoming many community members.
