Most work scheduled for Wednesday at the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center on the facility’s power infrastructure and NCAR’s HPC storage and compute systems was completed successfully. A faulty output breaker delayed the restart of one of the facility’s UPS systems, but CISL HPC engineers continued their work on other system components that are unaffected by the faulty UPS.
The Casper cluster, Cheyenne login nodes, GLADE file systems, Campaign Storage, data-access nodes, HPSS, Quasar, Stratus, and JupyterHub services remain unavailable. Cheyenne’s compute nodes will remain unavailable throughout the service period, which is expected to last through Monday, August 2.
Users will be kept apprised of the status of the maintenance and systems updates through the Daily Bulletin and the Notifier service.
