Want to stay informed about NSF NCAR? On Wed. 1/28, the AMS Town Hall is live in Houston

The NSF NCAR AMS Town Hall will occur on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm Central Time.

The event is on-site only at the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Annual Meeting, which takes place at the George R. Brown Convention Center from Sunday, January 25 to Thursday, January 29, 2026. Register here for AMS26. 

NSF NCAR’s Computational and Information Systems Laboratory (CISL) will present the Town Hall—entitled ”NSF NCAR’s Advanced Computing, Data Services, Software, and Educational Resources for Earth System Science.”

The presentation will cover our new strategic roadmap for integrating AI/ML into ESS research, key updates on the Geoscience Data Exchange (GDEX), allocation processes, the Community Research Earth Digital Intelligence Twin (CREDIT) pilot, and the AI Factory Proof of Concept (PoC).
