Final reminder: Abstracts due this Friday (7/25) for the “Correctness and Reproducibility for Earth System Software” workshop!

Only a little time left! Submit your abstract by this Friday, July 25, for the Second Workshop on Correctness and Reproducibility for Earth System Software in November. 

Researchers, software engineers, and practitioners in the Earth System Modeling and scientific computing communities are invited to apply. Topics include:

  • Testing, debugging, QA, and CI tools
  • Statistical and ensemble-based validation
  • Software design for correctness and reproducibility
  • Automated reasoning, formal methods, and verification techniques
  • Validation of HPC, cloud, heterogeneous, and GPU-based applications
  • Other verification and validation approaches

Relevant applications include: simulation codes, external libraries, AI techniques, diagnostics, packaging, and development practices.


The workshop will take place from Wednesday, November 5 to Thursday, November 7, both virtually and in-person at NSF NCAR’s Mesa Laboratory in Boulder, CO. Registration will open in August.
