Submit an abstract by 7/25 for a November workshop on Earth system software

Abstracts are currently being accepted, through Friday, July 25, for the Second Workshop on Correctness and Reproducibility for Earth System Software

The workshop will take place from Wednesday, November 5 to Thursday, November 7, both virtually and in-person at NSF NCAR’s Mesa Laboratory in Boulder, CO. This event is held in conjunction with the tutorial, “Rigor and Reasoning in Scientific Software,” and is sponsored by the 2025 Better Scientific Software (BSSw) Fellowship program.

The workshop is soliciting talks related (but not limited) to the following topics:
  • Testing, debugging, QA, and CI tools
  • Statistical and ensemble-based validation
  • Software design for correctness and reproducibility
  • Automated reasoning, formal methods, and verification techniques
  • Validation of HPC, cloud, heterogeneous, and GPU-based applications
  • Other verification and validation approaches
