You still have time to
register for the Supercomputing 2024 Conference (
SC24), which is taking place both online and in-person from Sunday, November 17, to Friday, November 22, in vibrant Atlanta. Join NSF NCAR and CISL at SC24 for our
robust agenda of talks, sessions, and activities.
Some planned highlights:
-
Collaborate and Connect Reception: Over food and drinks at the NSF NCAR booth on Tuesday afternoon, guests can meet CISL director Thomas Hauser and other members of the CISL team. This is a great time to make professional connections, talk shop about HPC and Earth systems science, and discuss plans for 2025.
-
Ask an Expert: Our booth will be fully staffed Tuesday through Thursday with CISL staff experts who are happy to chat and answer questions.
-
Booth Presentations: Topics include: the CONTINENTS collaboration toward net-zero weather and climate simulations; developing a data center digital twin for NWSC; the internet of things for 3D-printed weather technologies and forecasting; and more.
-
Technical Program: Attend SC24 sessions involving NSF NCAR staff—including work selected as finalist for the ACM Gordon Bell Prize in Climate Modelling.
-
Something for Everyone: Our Family Day activities will offer fun for all ages and snacks for all. We will participate in the Job Fair, do a booth presentation on student and internship opportunities, and hold multiple raffles everyday.
