All high-performance computing (HPC) and data storage systems hosted at the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center will be unavailable during part or all of a scheduled maintenance downtime beginning early Monday morning, July 26, to allow CISL staff and contractors to update the facility’s power infrastructure in preparation for the arrival of the new Derecho system.
The Cheyenne system’s login nodes, Casper cluster, GLADE file systems, Campaign Storage, JupyterHub, HPSS, Stratus, and Quasar are expected to be returned to service by Thursday, July 29. Cheyenne’s compute nodes will remain unavailable throughout the service period, which is expected to last until August 2.
Watch for more details in the CISL Daily Bulletin in the coming weeks.
