Do you develop software for your research? Do you have some basic skills but desire more?
Applications are open for two separate summer workshops intended to serve those who self-identify as intermediate research software developers, wherein those with backgrounds in a research domain other than computer science are particularly encouraged to apply. Ideal participants are those who, after some hands-on experience writing code, are looking for more software development training to either prepare them for a career writing research software or to be a more efficient developer.
Admitted applicants to either program are offered funding through the NSF or the Sloan Foundation to cover general expenses. Both programs' application deadlines are March 31st, 2024. Details for each program are included below:
