ESIP, AMS to host Open Science and Data Help Desk during AMS2023

January 22, 2024

Do you have data and software-related questions? Are you looking to publish your data and/or software to meet open science requirements? Are you interested in tools and resources for working with your data or for finding data to reuse? The Open Science & Data Help Desk is here for you at AMS2023, Jan 29-Feb 1, 2024.

The Open Science & Data Help Desk—a program of the Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP) and the American Meteorological Society (AMS)—provides researchers with opportunities to engage with informatics experts in their domains. Through the Help Desk, researchers can learn about skills and techniques that will help further their research and make their data and software more open and Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR).

The Open Science & Data Help Desk will be staffed with experts from the Earth science informatics community to answer data-related questions and to demo useful resources virtually at https://www.esipfed.org/data-help-desk, and in person in the exhibit hall at the AMS booth (booth 350). Stop by the in-person Help Desk at the AMS booth, or submit your question via the form HERE.

During the Data Help Desk, you can ask open science and data questions; learn about open science, data and software resources during resource showcases throughout the week at the AMS booth; and also watch tool demos and tutorials online at the Data Help Desk.
