Extended HPC systems downtime scheduled for July 26 through August 2

May 11, 2021

All HPC compute and data storage systems hosted at the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center will be unavailable during part or all of a planned maintenance downtime beginning Monday, July 26, to allow CISL staff and contractors to perform critical updates to the facility’s power infrastructure in preparation for the arrival of the new Derecho system.

The Casper cluster, GLADE file systems, Campaign Storage, JupyterHub, HPSS, Stratus, Quasar, and Cheyenne’s login nodes are expected to be returned to service by Thursday, July 29. Cheyenne’s compute nodes will remain unavailable throughout the service period, which is expected to last until August 2.

Watch for more details in the CISL Daily Bulletin in the coming weeks and months.
