On August 9, the new Derecho supercomputer officially opened to NCAR’s broader HPC user community. While Cheyenne will remain in service through December 31, all current NCAR HPC users are encouraged to migrate their workflows from Cheyenne to Derecho now rather than later. (Note that Casper users will not be impacted by this transition).
This session will cover topics such as:
- Derecho's computational resources and hardware
- Allocation approval process
- Software environment changes
- Software engineering tools and workflow migration
- One-on-one or group consultation on project development or other HPC-related needs
This session will be held virtually and at the following NCAR campus in Boulder, Colorado on:
- Tuesday August 29 at Foothills Lab 2
The session will include morning presentations plus Q&A from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. MT followed by hands-on troubleshooting and onsite office hours from 1-5 p.m. MT.
To sign up, please
RSVP and let us know if you plan to take advantage of office hours.
