The Derecho Acceptance Testing Phase (ATP) officially started on March 29. The NWSC-3 project team has completed one power-down and start-up of Derecho and is working through documenting and fixing issues the team faced while conducting the test.
During the ATP, the NWSC-3 project team will put Derecho and its storage systems through fairly disruptive hardware and software resiliency tests, functionality tests, application performance benchmarking, and availability testing, which will measure the system’s uptime requirements. Once ATP tests are concluded, the project team will prepare Derecho by ensuring that the system is stable and performant for Accelerated Scientific Discovery teams and production workloads.
