Globus services provided by CISL, including servers, endpoints, and data shares, will be offline on November 7th and 8th as we migrate these services to version 5 of Globus. Our current endpoints like NCAR GLADE and NCAR Campaign Storage will be converted to Globus v5 collections. Aside from this terminology difference, users should still be able to search the same names and use the same collection UUIDs as before. Any shared endpoints created by users will be migrated to v5 guest collections - these should also keep the same names and UUIDs.
Users of InCommon certificates for unattended workflows will need to migrate these workflows to use new guest collections. CISL will provide documentation for this migration next week (as well as our
previously announced tutorial).
The current NCAR endpoints will not allow new transfers as of 12 AM on Monday, November 7th. Transfers that are already running at that time will continue. Any transfer tasks submitted after midnight will be deleted during the migration.
