First meeting July 11: Analysis Workflow Special Interest Group

A new special interest group established in conjunction with NCAR’s Earth System Data Science (ESDS) initiative will meet for the first time at 2 p.m. MDT on Monday, July 11. The Analysis Workflow Special Interest Group (AWSIG) will provide a communication forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences related to the operational aspects of CISL-supported analysis resources and services, including Casper, JupyterHub, GLADE, VirtualGL, and others. The group will complement the more modeling- and simulation-focused NCAR HPC User Group.

The AWSIG kickoff meeting will be during the July 11 ESDS Forum on Zoom. After a brief introduction, CISL’s Consulting Services Group will present “Supporting the Analysis Software Ecosystem” to discuss and solicit feedback on plans for updating analysis software packages, providing uniform access via both JupyterHub and command line, and on mid- and long-term priorities for supporting analysis software libraries.
