Software packages updated on Cheyenne and Casper systems

CISL has installed new versions of some commonly used software packages on Cheyenne and Casper. The latest versions of the Intel oneAPI (2022.1) and NVIDIA HPC SDK (22.1) compiler and development suites have been installed on both systems. The Intel oneAPI toolkit includes the traditional and oneAPI compilers, tools like Vtune, and libraries like Intel MPI and MKL. These toolchains will be featured in the Intel tools workshop previously announced in the Daily Bulletin.

We have also installed new versions of Matlab (R2021b) and Julia (1.7.1) for use on both systems. On Casper only, we installed the latest version of the lrose-core (20211114) lidar and radar analysis suite. All of these new packages can be loaded via CISL environment modules.
