Survey of geoscience faculty DEI efforts seeks input

December 20, 2021

The University of Oklahoma is conducting a survey of all U.S. university geoscience departments to learn about faculty efforts supporting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). The survey is designed to collect information about ongoing DEI efforts and faculty motivations around DEI work to help identify promising practices that can be shared through webinars, publications, and other resources. Broad faculty participation is needed to gather representative data and improve the likelihood that the recommended practices will be effective.

Use this link to get more information and to participate in the survey. It is estimated to take less than 10 minutes to complete.

All data will be de-identified before analysis and grouped by subdiscipline, faculty role/rank, type of institution, and/or identity attribute (gender, race/ethnicity, first-generation student, and so on) when shared beyond the project team. No data will be linked to specific individuals, departments, or institutions in any communications or data summaries. This project has been approved by the University of Oklahoma- Norman Campus Institutional Review Board.
