The new peer-scheduling capability enabling users to submit jobs from Cheyenne to Casper and from Casper to Cheyenne will be available on Wednesday, October 20. Users will also be able to craft job-dependency rules between jobs on both systems. Documentation for how to use the new features will be available by Wednesday.
Also as of October 20, as
announced last month, CISL is changing the Cheyenne system’s default behavior to make peer-scheduling possible. Cheyenne job submissions will no longer propagate users’ submission-environment settings to PBS jobs. Please see
Propagating environment settings to a PBS job for a full description of the change and what, if anything, you need to do.
