NCAR Strategic Computing (NSC) Submissions - March 31, 2026 Deadline

We are now accepting submissions from NSF NCAR staff for large-scale computing needs through the NCAR Strategic Computing (NSC) panel.  NSC allocations target large-scale projects lasting one year to a few years that align with NSF NCAR’s scientific priorities and strategic plans, and require a full or part-time regular NSF NCAR staff member as project lead.

The panel may allocate up to 250 million core-hours and 250,000 GPU-hours on Derecho across all awarded projects.

Please submit new NSC requests to the "NCAR - NSC Allocation Request - Spring 2026" opportunity at https://arc.ucar.edu/xras_submit/opportunities by March 31, 2026.
