2026 EdEc ASP Summer Colloquium

Final reminder, the NSF NCAR Advanced Study Program (ASP) invites graduate students who are interested in learning how to conduct innovative convergence research that uses a systems approach to strengthen resilience against compound hazards to apply to the 2026 ASP Summer Colloquium scheduled July 13–24, 2026 in Boulder, CO.

This year’s theme will be “Beyond Boundaries: Training Earth System Scientists and Engineers in Convergence Research for Compound Hazard Resilience”. The colloquium brings together lecturers and graduate students to NSF NCAR for two weeks for classroom presentations, instruction and interaction. ASP covers travel and living expenses for 25 graduate students who attend the two-week program.

Applications are due 11:59pm PT February 22, 2026. Applications require submitting question responses related to compounding hazards and convergence science as well as providing a current CV.
