Derecho: Name picked for new NCAR supercomputer

NCAR announced on Monday that the next supercomputer to be installed at the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center will be named “Derecho.” The name was selected out of more than 200 submissions from Wyoming K-12 students as part of a competition NCAR conducted in partnership with the Wyoming Department of Education and the Wyoming Governor’s Office. JupyterHub service update coming Wednesday morning

The NCAR JupyterHub service will be updated on Wednesday, April 14, at approximately 6 a.m. The new service will provide expanded functionality and bring NCAR's offering up to the current generation web-based user interface for Project Jupyter.
