NSF NCAR Graduate Visitor Program applications now being accepted

The NSF NCAR Advanced Study Program (ASP) is now accepting applications from graduate students for the 2025 Graduate Visitor Program (GVP).

Visits can range from two to six months, and are an excellent way for graduate students to connect with NSF NCAR scientists and engineers. Through the visit, grad students can receive guidance on their thesis or final project, develop research collaborations, participate in workshops and seminars, and develop professionally. 

Important note: Before submitting an application, the student must identify a NSF NCAR scientist or engineer who will serve as a host. The student will need to contact the mentor to confirm they are available. For assistance with identifying a host, email the GVP office. 

Applications and nominations are now being accepted for visits in 2025. The application deadline is Friday, November 1, and the nomination deadline is Wednesday, November 6.
